Oval Nails
Oval nails are best used in DIY, woodworking or carpentry projects when the finish requires a smooth, neat result. Oval nails can easily be inserted or hammered beneath the surface of the wood so they will not be visible or spoil the overall look of your project. This is thanks to the oval shank of the nail, which, when hammered into the wood and aligned with the grain, will not split or damage the wood. When the oval nail has been inserted, if any small hole is still visible, it can be filed and sanded to leave a smooth finish.
Oval nails have many different uses in woodworking or carpentry projects, including the installation of skirting boards, door jambs or wooden flooring. Due to their strength, smoothness and concealed finish, oval nails are also frequently used in upholstery and the construction of furniture.
