Here at Mill Timber Direct, we sell a wide range of timber materials straight from our saw mill in Newport, South Wales and online nationwide. Softwoods come from non-flowering trees with unenclosed seeds and are lighter and quicker to grow than hardwoods. Softwoods make up 80% of the global timber market. We stock both hardwood plywood and softwood plywood. At Mill Timber Direct we sell the highest quality softwood plywood sheets. Our 15 mm paged pine softwood plywood originates from Pinus Sylvestris trees grown in Poland and matured for 80 years.

Over this 80-year period, the softwood Pinus Sylvestris trees are exposed to a wide range of climatic conditions including soaring summer temperatures of up to 40 degrees Celsius, high humidity of over 80%, high wind, rain, and extremely cold winters of -35 degrees Celsius with frosts and snow. This exposure ensures that the trees become robust and strong with a low knot frequency, making our soft plywood stable and reliable.

Our paged pine softwood plywood is CARB 2 compliant with a structural thickness exceeding 9mm. All our softwood is fully FSC certified and responsibly sourced. With Mill Timber Direct you can be assured of the highest quality softwood plywood while keeping your carbon footprint low.

We also stock 9mm, 12mm and 18mm Elliotis Pine plywood. This FSC certified softwood plywood is sustainably imported from Brazil and is a cost affective alternative to our hardwoods as it is suitable for a wide range of heavy-duty applications including construction, furniture and event flooring.
