This Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) is smooth, resistant, consistent and environmentally friendly (FSC® certified). 

Kronobuild MDF, manufactured by Kronospan, is a versatile wood-based panel with great machinability. MDF as a product has a consistent structure, density and a very smooth surface, which makes it suitable for routed, lacquered and painted finishes. MDF is non-load-bearing for interior use in dry conditions.

The MDF manufacturing process involves grinding wood chips into fibres and binding them with synthetic resin under heat and pressure.

Due to it's smooth surface, MDF is used mainly for the furniture industry, skirting boards, architraves, packaging material, in the door industry and in everything from book covers to shoes. MDF can also be used as a building material in non-load-bearing walls, ceilings and partitions.
