Mouldings

If you are undertaking a DIY project in your home, our wide range of timber moulding and hardware dowels will cover all your needs. Dowels and moulding have many decorative and functional uses. You can utilise them to cover the gaps between materials on floors and ceilings and to cover the edges around doorframes, windows and kitchen worktops. They are also very handy if you are making your own furniture or picture frames. They are the perfect solution for hiding any imperfections in your home and creating a professional finish that is sure to impress.

Within our range of decorative and functional timber moulding products, we stock a selection of pine quadrant, Scotia, and decorative panel lines, among others. They are very easy to install using screws, pins, or adhesives and are made from lightweight softwood, which gives them the strength and flexibility to be used in many different household projects. Our products can be stained with wood stain, lacquer, or varnish but remember to lightly sand first for the best finish.

We also offer a range of wooden glass bead moulding products, which are ideal for holding glass window panels in place or giving a decorative finish to your windows or doors. Installed using pins or adhesive, they are available in light hardwood, oak, and pine and are suitable for internal and external use. For external use, remember to use a wood preservative to get the maximum life span from the product.

In addition, we stock a collection of hardware dowels, which are cylindrical lengths of wood that have many uses - furniture making, rails, curtain poles, and reinforcing wood joints, to name just a few. They are perfectly round and come in a range of diameters that can be cut to the required length. All our dowels are made from high-quality pine timber and can be stained or varnished to suit your preferences.

What Are Timber Mouldings?

Timber mouldings are decorative or functional strips of wood that are shaped and finished to enhance the appearance of interiors or exteriors. They are typically used to cover joints, edges, or transitions between surfaces, adding detail and character to doors, windows, ceilings and walls. Available in various profiles and sizes, timber mouldings can be made from different wood species to suit a range of design styles.
