Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) is a widely used engineered wood product made from resin and compressed wood fibres. It's a truly versatile and stable sheet material which is used in a wide range of joinery, cabinet-making, furniture manufacturing and general interior applications.
Because MDF has no natural grain, its appearance is totally uniform right across the surface of each board. This ensures an ultra-flat surface that's ideal for veneers and is simple to paint. It also cuts, drills, moulds and routs into intricate profiles really well, with very little risk of splintering.
